“Months on End”
by Craig Pospisil
Directed by Kevin Paul Wixsom.
In a series of comic scenes, we follow the intertwined worlds of a circle of friends and family whose lives are poised between happiness and heartbreak. The circle centers on Phoebe (Mimi Helm) and Ben (Jon Slocum), who are engaged to be married but have some lingering doubts. Even so, Elaine (Tamara Gardner) is jealous of her friend’s relationship, especially since none of hers last more than five dates. She’s ready to give up on love until she meets Walter (Tom Suski) whose only flaw is that he is married. Walter’s brother, Nick, (Scott Luscier), is single but when he proposes to Paige (Mae Rogers), her answer is to scream and drop the engagement ring. Phoebe’s sister, Heidi (Monica Bliss) delivers a comic gem of a commencement speech in May that starts as a tribute to the graduates’ parents but degenerates into a hysterical tirade against them. Phoebe’s wedding day meltdown isn’t helped by her father (Bruce Cahill). The cast also includes Tony (Todd Hamilton) and Phoebe’s mother, Gwen, (Ann Krawet).
Performances will be on Friday, April 25, Saturday, April 26 and Saturday, May 3 at 8pm, and also on Sunday, April 27 and Sunday, May 4 at 2 pm. Tickets are $15 with discounts for seniors, students and Town Players of Pittsfield members. To reserve tickets please call 413-443-9279.
